School Counseling

Conroe Independent School District School Counseling Department Mission

The School Counseling Program in Conroe ISD exists to provide support and guidance to all students as a means to foster academic success, career, personal, and social abilities. School Counselors help students and families with personal and academic skills important to student growth and success. School Counselors meet with students in classroom guidance, small groups, and individual appointments. School Counselors have the appropriate knowledge skills, and credentials to improve the performance of students and are expected to actively participate in counseling-related professional development. CISD Guidance and Counseling continues to expand its mission with a close collaboration with CISD College Readiness in developing professional development with the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling.
